Research

Structural and dynamical characterization of protein / protein interaction in the liquid state by means of NMR spectroscopy. Small-angle X-Ray scattering used in a complementary fashion to get structural arrangement of protein complex. NMR and SAXS experimental data combined to molecular dynamics calculations to understand biological processes.

Biography

Maggy Hologne is currently Assistant Professor (Maître de conference) in the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Lyon (France). She obtained her M.Sc in chemical physics in 2000 and received her Ph.D. degree in chemical physics from the University of Strasbourg in 2003 under the supervision of Jérôme Hirschinger. She studied the structure and dynamics of supramolecular complex in the solid state using NMR spectroscopy. She joined Pr. Dr. Bernd Reif’s lab in 2004 at the Forschungsinstitute für Molekülare Pharmakologie in Berlin as a postdoctoral fellow. Her project was the methodological developments of 2D and 3D solid-state NMR sequences applied to a-spectrin SH3 domain. In 2005, she moved to the Institut des Sciences Analytiques where she focused her research on protein / protein interaction by NMR, SAXS and computational methods based on GPU technology.
