In the field of agricultural and food chemistry, aromatic and medicinal plants, bio based products, we elaborate innovative strategies of physicochemical analysis (sample preparation, purification, chromatographic resolution, identification, quantification and naturalness control). Important data banks are elaborated for these purposes.
Biography
Hervé Casabianca is research engineer at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique , France, since 1989. He is graduated from Ecole Superieure de Chimie Industrielle de Lyon and PhD in organic chemisty . He started his career in Pharmaceutical Industry with original psychotropic drugs synthesis. He joined CNRS in 1989, developing isotopic ratio mass spectrometry for food authenticity control. Current research activities are mainly focused on development of complex mixtures chromatographic resolution, reverse proceeding and strategies for identification and quantification of active secondary metabolites. An important innovative work is done for naturalness control of keys flavouring compounds and data banks elaboration. Involved in supervision or co-supervision of 11 PhD students and more than 25 M.Sc., he is author of more than 75 publications and 30 communications in national or international conferences.
