Research

Elaboration and characterization of monolithic support for sample preparation and chromatographic separations. Modification of surface properties of solid materials for specific applications. Optimization of chromatographic instruments for miniaturized configurations, hyphenation with ICP-MS and nanoESI-MS

Biography

Jérôme Randon is graduated from Université Montpellier II, and received a PhD degree in material science for his research in electrochemical surface properties of ultrafiltration membrane. After two years as research assistant at the University of Glasgow working on oxide surface modification and characterization, he joined the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 as a lecturer in 1994. His research activity was then related to application of zirconium and titanium dioxide as separation support for analytical projects and moved to the preparation and application of miniaturized monolithic columns in chromatography when he became Full Professor at the same university. Since 2004, Jerôme Randon is the Head of the master degree dedicated to Analytical Science.
