Research
Development of analytical methodologies to study the occurrence, fate and behaviour of organic micro-pollutants in environmental matrices and sentinel species, using chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry.
Biography
Gaëlle Daniele is a research engineer at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, France, since 2002. She obtained her PhD dealing with the behaviour and fate of pesticides in the environment at the University Lyon 1 in 2001. She joined the Institute of Analytical Sciences (ISA) in 2002. She worked ten years in the team “Food and natural products” where she did research mainly on apicultural products (honey, royal jelly) in relation to adulteration and pesticides contamination.
She joined in 2013 the research team TRACES of ISA, specialized in the analysis of micropollutants in environmental matrices by chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. She focuses her research activities on the development of analytical methods to study the behaviour of organic micro-pollutants in environmental matrices and sentinel species. She has co-authored 16 peer-reviewed publications and around 50 communications in national and international conferences. She is coordinating a FranceAgrimer project dealing with the analysis of pesticides in apicultural matrices and is part of several collaborative projects funded by ANSM, MEDDE, EC2CO.
